Frequently Asked Questions
what are your hours?
I am in the office Monday- Thursday from 8am-2pm. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can reach out to me for information on my current availability.
Do you take my insurance?
Presently, I am an in network provider for Tricare.
I am out of network for all other insurances. You will want to speak with your insurance company regarding your out of network benefits to determine what they will cover toward your therapy sessions. I can provide you with a superbill upon request, which is a receipt with medical codes and diagnosis, for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Will insurance cover my therapy?
Individual and family therapy are often covered by insurance. Couples therapy is covered by some insurance companies but not others. There are various ethical considerations when billing insurance for couples therapy and our policy is that we do not bill insurance companies for relational issues and therapy. Please feel free to ask further questions prior to your first appointment.
Another important consideration is your privacy. If therapy is billed to an insurance company, that company has the right to request all of your records (including notes) and the therapist must comply with this request. This diagnosis and treatment record may become part of your medical record moving forward. For some clients this is not an issue, but for others who prefer greater confidentiality, not using insurance may be preferable.
